Letting service for DIY Kiwi Landlords to launch

TENANTSOURCE aims to alleviate letting issues for the 60% of Kiwi property investors who manage their own assets.

An online solution for self-managing property investors launches today, promising to take the hassle out of tenanting a property for a fraction of the price investors would pay if they were to go it alone.

 

TenantSource.co.nz offers a free and professional service for Landlords, who simply enter their property address online to get the ball rolling. Once key information has been gathered, TenantSource.co.nzcovers the advertising, viewings, application process and tenancy agreement for the owner without charging a cent for their time.

 

Featuring a tagline “fast, efficient and cheaper than doing it yourself” Landlords will pay for only for online advertising of the property, which they’ll get for less than half the standard price of advertising thanks to the agency’s industry discounted rates.

 

“We pass this saving onto our clients, rather than use it to bump up our own profits” says Scott Dunn, co-director with his sister Jesse.

“If a property investor does this themselves they’re likely to pay almost $100 for advertising and spend the next week or two arranging viewing times with current tenants, driving all over the place to conduct viewings and collecting applications and then writing a tenancy agreement which must  adhere to the Residential Tenancies Act. If they use TenantSource.co.nz they’ll pay from just $39 for advertising and we’ll take care of the whole tenanting process.”

 

A second package including featured advertising, image retouching and credit and reference checks is also provided.

TenantSource.co.nz is launching first in Auckland with possible expansion on the cards into other major investor centres.

 

Jesse Dunn has high expectations regarding growth, “Here in New Zealand we have a lot of self-managing property investors, up to 60% of NZ property investors manage their own properties (according to consumer.org.nz). Our own research has identified that 20-25% of rental properties advertised each month are done so by self-managing property investors, and this who we will be representing.”
